First drill night was definitely an icebreaker for this new Probie. Lots of laughs and jokes with this group. But when it comes down to business, there is no messing around. The group headed out to the Danbury training facility for a search and rescue fire suppression drill.

Upon arrival, we are assigned to certain evolutions primary, secondary search and attack. We packed up, stretched and charged lines and the evolutions began. The overall goal search rescue, put the wet stuff on the red stuff. We practiced hydraulic ventilation using a fog stream to create a Venturi effect kind of like an exhaust fan to make the environment tenable.

At the end of the day, starting over again as exterior is ok, and taking the NREMT exam was always the plan,....guess it's just like riding a bike, thankful to have had some pretty amazing instructors and EMS mentors that taught me well. Video compliments of not me. :)
